Salary: Lecturer scale £35,425 - £46,143 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
The company, based in Kingston, KT3 3HY, is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) providing transformative learning opportunities for young people and adults with special education needs and/or disabilities. With eight community-based College Centres in London and Surrey, the college serves over 400 students.
Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties, and specific medical needs
- Assess individual and group needs to tailor teaching methods accordingly
- Promote progression, continuity, and quality of learning
- Measure student progress and impact on their lives
- Create engaging and purposeful learning experiences
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent
- Recent Outstanding/Good teaching experience with students with special needs
Education:
Working towards or holding a Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent
Experience:
Recent Outstanding/Good teaching experience with students with special needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Specialist in PMLD/ASD
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons reflective of student needs
- Determination to positively impact student lives
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in working with students with profound and multiple learning disabilities
Working Conditions:
- 36 hours per week, all year round (39 working weeks)
- Dynamic and supportive staff team
- Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service required for appointments
