Apprenticeship Development Manager (Fixed Term Contract up to 30/04/2026)
JOB PURPOSE
The post holder will be employed in a Sales role, working primarily on the development of SERC’s apprenticeship offer. Reporting to the Training Programmes Manager, the post-holder will deliver on SERC’s Apprenticeship strategy by developing relationships with companies and assessing how their training and development needs could be met through the apprenticeship programme. The post-holder will have clear, challenging targets to increase the volume of apprenticeships and maximise income. The post holder will work closely with curriculum staff to ensure that the relevant school within SERC benefits from the industrial engagement in terms of knowledge transfer and curriculum development.
The job will include the completion of proposals for companies to meet their training needs under apprenticeships. Working with Colleagues in Business Services, Marketing and Academic Schools, the post holder will be expected to arrange employer engagement events to increase the profile of SERC’s offer and secure enrolments on apprenticeship programmes.

- Salary: Band 6 SCP 33-36 £37,035 - £39,513 per annum
- Location: Newtownards Campus. The appointee(s) will be required to be available for work at any of the College sites as required.
- Hours of work: 36 hours per week. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach (including evening work/Saturday work, if required) and to devote such time as may be required by the exigencies of the post.
- Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8.45 am to 5.00 pm and Friday, 8.45 am to 3.30 pm. Hours may vary from time to time to suit the requirements of the post.
