We have various roles available with in-person learner observations within a maximum 2 hour travel radius of your home location, with expenses paid.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assessor/Trainer to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conducting regular in person workplace observations and assessments to evaluate learners’ knowledge, skills, and practical performance against apprenticeship standards and industry regulations. Your expertise will help learners meet the requirements of their qualification and progress in their careers.
As a Workplace/Field-based Trainer/Assessor you will provide coaching and feedback through professional discussions and mock end-point assessments, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and build the confidence to succeed in their chosen fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe learners in their workplace to assess practical skills.
- Enrol learners and track progress.
- Evaluate evidence (portfolios, case studies, etc.) against qualification standards.
- Provide immediate oral and written feedback to encourage self-reflection and improvement.
- Conduct mock professional discussions to prepare learners for their EPA.
- Offer feedback and create action plans for skill development.
- Guide learners on best practices in care, safeguarding, and person-centred care.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and changes.
- Help learners compile portfolios and verify evidence.
- Ensure learners are ready and confident for their EPA Gateway.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments and progress.
- Build relationships with employers and ensure their involvement in the apprenticeship process.
- Provide guidance to learners and employers for informed decision-making.
- Comply with GDPR and internal data security policies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, D32, A1, V1).
- Level 3 and/or 5 qualification within the Health & Social Care sector.
- Ability to build professional relationships with learners and employers
- Experience in coaching or assessing learners.
- A solid understanding of End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Access to a car and the ability to travel for in-person learner observations, 1:1s, and team meetings.
