Engineering Technician Tutor (Machining)

We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of engineering qualifications / apprenticeships on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Engineering Technician role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners / apprentices undertaking Level 2 and 3 qualifications. You will be a time served Mechanical Engineer with machining experience.
You will be based at our training centre in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
You will have experience delivering training and will possess a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above) and an Assessor's Award, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector.
THE ROLE OF ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN TUTOR (Machining)
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
The training delivery will be focused around Machining and CNC operation skills, and would involve both workshop-based and classroom-based teaching.
We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN TUTOR (Machining)
- Minimum 3 years' relevant occupational experience within Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of working with young people and apprenticeship standards
- Experience of delivering Engineering Technician (Machining) Apprenticeships
- Good communication and presentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN TUTOR
- A level 3 Mechanical Engineering Qualification
- Level 4 (or above) occupational engineering qualification (Desirable)
- Teaching qualification
- Assessor Qualification - A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent
- This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance

Working hours will be 8:30am to 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00am to 3:00pm (Friday).
