The role
We are seeking a Compliance Co Ordinator Apprentice to join our team in Newbury, Berkshire - due to the location you will need to have access to a car, and be a driver.
This is a great opportunity where you will work towards internal controls and regulatory compliance in the area of Data Protection and Information Governance. Supporting auditing and improvements of operating practices, and risk around data management processes of the our company.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BEING OFFERED ON AN APPRENTICESHIP BASIS WHERE YOU WILL STUDY TOWARDS THE DATA PROTECTION AND INFORMATION GOVERNANCE LEVEL 4 STANDARD THE COURSE LASTS APPROX 19 MONTHS.
Duties will include:
- Support of the Data Protection Team and initiatives globally
- Monitor compliance across organisation with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations locally
- Take part in IT and Data Protection audit procedures when required
- Maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice
- Implement the annual Internal Audit plan under direction from Data Protection Program lead and IT and Cybersecurity Head
- Assistance with managing Privacy Program globally (developing and reviewing training materials, answering to privacy questions coming from business and clients, managing ticketing system Data Protection Team) -
- Carry out a DPIA Assessments for a specific project or initiative requested by business
- Participate in the change management process, following on recognised gaps
- Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks, for example in response to incoming new regulation in data protection and governance area or onboarding new technology / solution into the business
- Onboarding and offboarding suppliers from compliance standpoint, review of 3rd party solutions/ software
- Answering to data protection questionnaires.
