Talent Management & Development Partner
We are currently looking for a TM&D Partner to be based in London on a 12-month fixed term, full-time basis, reporting into the Chief HR Officer, MRS-GM.
The Talent Partner is responsible for leading and driving the Talent and Development strategy for MRS-GM by identifying, driving and implementing talent management, leadership, and learning initiatives for the Group ensuring that all global standards and processes are implemented as required.
They are also responsible for the day-to-day people management of the TM&D Specialist and TM&D Apprentice.
Responsibilities:
People Management
- Manage and develop the Talent Management and Development Apprentice and the TM&D Specialist by providing direction, support, demonstrating best practices in order to upskill them within the role.
Develop/Deliver MRS-GM Talent Management & Development Strategy
- Work closely and build relationships with MRS-GM Board and ExCo. Drive the MRS-GM talent management and development priorities which align with the business, regional and global talent management/HR priorities.
- Design and deliver the TM&D Strategy for MRS-GM leveraging the Regional and Global strategies in accordance with the MRS-GM needs.
- Management and consolidation of annual local budget process, working closely with MRS-GM Finance. Provide regular budget updates.
- Ensure that MRS-GM TM&D strategy and deliverables meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Develop methods and tools to measure TM&D impact and effectiveness across the organisation.
Talent Management
- Proactively with CHRO and HRBP’s globally, plan and execute talent review, succession and strategic workforce planning sessions across MRS-GM.
- Identify talent pools, ensuring strong pipeline of successors and required capabilities are met in the short, medium and long term, considering future talent requirements and the MRS-GM 2030 Vision.
- Working with Talent Acquisition, partner on internal transfers within the organisation and identify candidates for initiatives as appropriate.
- Identify and provide consultation to candidates for existing global talent programmes such as Hydrogen, GMP and Oxygen within MRS-GM.
- Manage and oversee the Early Talent Programme utilising the Apprenticeship Levy.
Leadership and Learning
- Promote and embed regional (EULA) and global initiatives across MRS-GM i.e. Continuous Conversations, the Regional TM&D curriculum.
- Design and deliver TM&D initiatives as required across MRS-GM both regionally and globally.
- Design and deliver specific identified management and leadership initiatives for MRS-GM globally as required, using external resource as appropriate.
- Facilitate as required internal initiatives i.e. team offsites, 360-degree feedback.
- Cross train HRBP’s to support partnership on delivery of key initiatives, acting as an internal sounding board.
- Coach and challenge leaders and managers where required in order to support them and their teams.
Thought Leadership
- Investigate and share best practice on trends in order ensure tools and techniques to support employees and their development remains best in class.
- Develop relationships with key external forums to promote Munich Re initiatives and share best practice.
- Manage vendor relationships and suppliers as required.
General
- Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
- Co-lead the People Change and Culture workstream looking at ways to further embed change management practices as well as the MRS-GM Culture Cornerstones.
- Participate in the newly formed MRS-GM Culture Committee.
- Support and embed Together@Work (our Hybrid working model) working closely with the internal communications team.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
- Extensive experience in Talent Management and Development
- Experience of working within Insurance (preferred), or a similar regulated environment (desirable)
- CIPD qualified (desirable)
- Qualified in Psychometric tools i.e. Hogan, Insights, MBTI (desirable)
- Coaching Qualification (desirable)
- Experience of delivering 360 feedback (desirable)
