NOCN is the leading provider of apprentice End Point Assessments in England, dedicated to delivering accurate and robust assessments. We are seeking qualified freelance End Point Assessors for the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard.
Key Areas of Assessment: We are particularly interested in assessors with expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical engineering.
Location: Remote/Hybrid - travel required to sites
Hours: Worker Contract, Freelance
Position Overview: The Freelance End Point Assessor will evaluate candidates in the final stages of their apprenticeship, focusing on a Knowledge Assessment, Practical Observation, and a Technical Interview. Comprehensive training on our internal quality assurance processes will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing apprentices based on Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours through Work Based Projects, Portfolios, and Professional Discussions.
- Timely uploading of assessment reports following NOCN's service level agreements.
- Preparing thoroughly for assessments and identifying any gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
- Building rapport with apprentices to help them perform their best in assessments.
- Maintaining hands-on Continuous Professional Development (CPD) within the plant maintenance industry.
- Representing NOCN professionally during assessments.
- Adhering to GDPR standards to ensure data security.
- Moderating other assessors' work in accordance with internal quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 assessing qualification.
- Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Current CPD relevant to the plant maintenance industry.
