Primary School PE Sports Coach
Primary Sports Coaching Limited are looking for a sports-minded, enthusiastic and experienced sports coach to join our team.
Full time role contracted to 32 hours per week during school term times and 37.5 hours per week during school holidays with a starting salary of £21,693.75.
As a senior sports coach you will be leading PSCL programmes in primary schools:
•Curriculum PE Lessons
•Teacher CPD
•Active Lunchtimes
•Running School Sports Teams
•Small Group Interventions
•Extra-Curricular Clubs
•Holiday Courses (course manager and DSL role)

Key responsibilities include:
•To prepare, deliver and evaluate well-structured and progressive PE and physical activity sessions programmes ensuring a high quality, enjoyable experience centred around the needs of the participants
•Share in-depth knowledge of primary school PE with programme participants
•Mentor teachers to develop their confidence of PE delivery
•Maintain appropriate planning and participation records
•Complete risk assessments
•Manage children’s behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment
•To carry out duties in accordance with the Primary Sports Coaching Limited's and awarding organisation policies, including equal opportunities, child protection and health and safety.
•To attend appropriate professional development
•To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in sport and physical activity
•Assist with promoting Primary Sports Coaching Limited's products and services
•Manage and deliver Primary Sports Coaching Limited school holiday sports courses
•Manage a team of coaches at your holiday course setting
•Adopt role of designated safeguarding lead at your holiday course setting
•Liase with holiday course settings before holiday courses commence

Qualifications (minimum requirement):
· Level 2 NGB Coaching Qualification in at least 1 mainstream sport
· 1st4sport Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport (or willing to work towards, funding provided by PSCL)
· Multi-Skills Level 2 Qualification
· First Aid qualification
· Safeguarding training (will be updated annually)
General:
•This job is subject to receipt of an enhanced DBS disclosure and rigorous background checks
•The candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience of teaching PE in primary schools
•The candidate must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
