ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Global Learning and Development Manager to lead and deliver our L&D strategy. This role is responsible for managing apprenticeships, professional qualifications, leadership development, training delivery, coaching, mentoring, and key L&D projects. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organisation.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Lead and implement our L&D strategy
- Identify organisational learning needs and create effective training programmes to address them
- Monitor industry trends, research and best practices to enhance L&D initiatives
- Manage and oversee our comprehensive apprenticeship offer ensuring strategic use of our levy funding
- Partner with training providers, awarding bodies, and internal stakeholders to support qualification pathways
- Build on and deliver leadership development programmes to nurture our current and future leaders
- Further develop and embed career pathway frameworks, linking to meaningful training opportunities
- Provide tailored development opportunities for high-potential employees
- Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually
- Work with our in-house subject experts to develop bespoke training materials
- Ensure training is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with business needs
- Support and grow our existing coaching and mentoring programmes to support employee development
- Provide one-to-one coaching sessions for key individuals to enhance performance
- Equip managers with coaching skills to support their teams effectively
- Lead L&D projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Work cross-functionally to implement learning initiatives that support strategic goals
- Measure the impact of L&D projects and report on key performance metrics
- Use data and insights to continuously improve L&D programs
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and best practices
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- Proven experience in an L&D management role in retail
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Ability to design and deliver engaging training programmes across various learning formats
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding, qualifications frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Data-driven approach to measuring L&D impact

Based in our East London Studios in vibrant Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty. Studio Location. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.
