As a Music Lecturer, you will be required to deliver high-quality lessons in both practical and theoretical aspects of music, while encouraging students to explore and develop their talents.
Key Duties:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons that cater to a diverse range of students.
- Teach across various music disciplines, including theory, performance, composition and technology.
- Monitor, assess and provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic and personal growth.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to ensure student success.
- Contribute to the college's wider musical culture and extracurricular activities.
- Work with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and aid the growth of the music department.
Requirements:
- A UK-recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
- A degree in Music or a related field (essential).
- Experience in teaching music at a further education and training level (preferred).
- Proficiency in practical and theoretical aspects of music.
- A passion for music and education, with a strong ability to engage and inspire students.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service.
