What you'll be working on
A Data Coach aims to deliver an effective, impactful learning experience for our learners completing their L3/L4 Data Analytics apprenticeships and training programs.
Role & responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and conduct learning and assessment services for group learners, aligning with the Data apprenticeship objectives and outcomes.
- Enhance the learning experience by fostering a collaborative environment that promotes skill development and community.
- Complete workplace assessments using a range of assessment methods, such as observation, professional discussions, and expert witness testimony.
- Maintain close communication and collaboration with other apprenticeship coaches to utilise insights gained through sessions to improve the overall learning experience.
- Accurately document learners' assessment records and report success metrics from one-on-one interactions into relevant tracking documents.
- Utilise feedback received from participants to evaluate and assess tutoring sessions, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of future sessions.
- Monitor learners’ progress, ensuring timely achievement of their qualifications.
- Be responsible for continuously developing learning materials and staying informed about the latest trends to support delivery needs.
You obtain the following skills:
- Highly Knowledgeable in Data Analytics topics such as:
- Data analysis tools like Excel, Python, or R
- Data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Database management and SQL
- Statistical analysis and data modelling
- Understanding of data ethics and governance
- A strong understanding of Programming / Software development.
And such soft skills:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about coaching and transforming careers.
- Creative with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently meet set timescales.
Desirable (a bonus!)
- You hold A1 / TAQA 3 (or equivalent) or prepared to work towards the qualification Teaching qualification.
- City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills
