About the Role
This is an opportunity to train as a St John Trainer and you will be responsible for delivering a variety of training courses to our workplace and community training customers. Due to our wide range of clients, no training course should ever be the same, and you will deal with people from all backgrounds with different learning styles.
As a Trainee Trainer, you will undertake the trainee trainer programme with the aim of becoming a St John Ambulance Trainer. You will develop your own subject and professional competence whilst working towards and completing a Level 3 Training and Assessing Qualification. Key responsibilities in this role include; running assigned training courses in accordance with training received, ensuring all equipment used is fit for purpose, cleaned and stored correctly, developing relationships with other staff and volunteers to ensure high standards of training and demonstrating knowledge and commitment to the organisation’s values, mission, vision and objectives.
This is a rewarding opportunity and will give you the chance to teach lifesaving skills to others and empower them to save lives in a wide range of situations. No two days are the same as an SJA Trainer and you will play a key role in our goal of helping us to deliver first aid to everyone that needs it.
Our courses receive incredible customer satisfaction ratings because we believe they are the best on the market delivered by passionate, well-trained, adaptable trainers in cohesive teams supported by expert advice and guidance. We are an organisation that truly believes in giving delegates not just the certificate, but the skills and confidence to make a difference when the time comes. We do that by making our courses interactive, enjoyable and practical as well as assessing understanding throughout the course. We also all seek to live the values of the organisation every day, those of humanity, excellence, accountability, responsiveness, and teamwork. If that sounds like something you could fit into, then please get in touch.
The role benefits from a competitive salary, generous pension, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), options to buy and sell holiday, Blue Light and NHS discounts, death in service, eye care and mental health, wellbeing tools and volunteer days. It will also provide opportunities to grow and develop your career, achieve a healthy work life balance and to be recognised for the great work you do.
About You
You need to be able to stand up and talk to a group of people with confidence, however training and support will be given and there is an expectation that you will undertake course work and assignments. You must have the ability to remain passionate and engaging while delivering a training syllabus and have the expertise to deliver the content at the right pace for the training groups, as often these training courses can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
