We are committed to championing equity, acceptance, and inclusion, and provide everyone who works with us the opportunity to reach their potential.If you require any support or reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.About YouWe welcome applications from self-employed contractors who have excellent communication skills, great rapport building ability, highly organised, excellent attention to detail, with demonstrated planning and time-management skills.To be successful you will have:Essential:A minimum of 3 years recent and relevant experience in the Horticulture or Landscape Construction sector.A relevant qualification demonstrating occupational competence at level 3 or above.A record of CPD in previous 12 months.An assessor qualification.Minimum 12 months experience of assessing work-based knowledge and competence.Experience of the Level 2 Horticulture or Landscape apprenticeship standard.Excellent numeracy skills.Excellent problem solving abilities.Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.Desirable:Experience of Working within a regulated environment (e.g. Awarding Organisation).An internal quality assurance qualification.Experience of assessment design and resource development.About the RoleOur Independent End-Point Assessor roles are fast-paced and varied, to support learners to reach their potential in South England (South Coast), Southeast England (London and surrounding areas) and Northeast England (Newcastle and surrounding areas).You will do this by providing first-class support to our customers, working with the broader team and freelance resources to deliver our End-Point assessment strategy.You will be conducting end-point assessments (EPA) for the Level 2 Horticulture or Landscape Operative standard. This will require you to travel to assessment locations and complete EPA activity in accordance with YMCA Awards’ EPA procedures, ensuring that assessments meet the requirements of the HLO standard, YMCA Awards EPA policies and regulatory requirements.Some examples of activities include:Support customers with understanding the end-point assessment process and preparing for end-point assessments.Complete end-point assessment activity in line with YMCA Awards policies and procedures.Engage with stakeholders to maintain and strengthen relationships.Support new and existing customers to grow YMCA Awards’ impact and revenue.Maintain regulatory compliance through end-point assessment activities.Maintain CPD and update CPD record annually.Support the creation of industry-leading products both new and existing customers want to buy.Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.Attend regular meetings for standardisation, EPA reviews and planning sessions.Engage with YMCA Awards colleagues and your line manager as required, responding to any support requested or actions set in a timely manner.Central YMCA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
