We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, forward thinking Sonographer who enjoys a challenge and wants to develop their career by stepping on the first rung of the management ladder.
The post holder will be responsible for the daily management, co-ordination and clinical leadership of Ultrasound services within the Radiology Directorate,
You will work with the Ultrasound Manager, Ultrasound Clerical Team leader and the Operation and Performance Manager to provide an outstanding service to your patients, ensuring that they are imaged in a timely manner to achieve national and local target times and support to your colleagues. You will deputise for the Ultrasound manager in their absence
There will be an expectation that you will spend time clinically as well as undertake the managerial aspect of this role
The post holder will manage the Ultrasound service on a daily basis at Wirral University Teaching Hospital as the lead radiographer for inpatient, outpatient and direct access referrals for all patient groups. The role will manage the Ultrasound Services across the trust, to ensure smooth running of the service and ensure quality is maintained in line with the Radiology vision.
You must have excellent communication and organisational skills, be a team player and be committed to quality.
