Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in their early years. Responsibilities:
· Be a leaderful practitioner to support, mentor, support, coach and train colleagues in a range of settings.
· Provide a welcoming, evolving and supportive environment that reflects the current interests, motivations, and play of individual and groups of children.
· Support children to engage in a range of learning contexts such as individual, small groups and larger groups as appropriate for their play and support confidence within social experiences, building on those peer-on-peer and child-practitioner relationships.
· Administer paediatric first aid.
· Identify and act upon own responsibilities in relation to health and safety, prevention and control of infection, carrying out risk assessments and risk management processes in line with policies and procedures.
· Be confident to identify, action and challenge issues and undertake difficult conversations when necessary.
· Advocate confidently for the health, well-being, development, and safety of the individual child when working with parents, practitioners, schools, and other agencies.
· Keep up to date with knowledge of current research, theories and approaches to implement in practices, activities and inform policies and procedures.
· Work collaboratively to create safe and nurturing environment by creating, following and adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.
· Demonstrate the importance of the home learning environment, developing an effective and collaborative partnership to enhance opportunities for the child.
· Plan and implement play opportunities to support the interests and developmental needs of each individual child and in alignment with the early years foundation stage (EYFS) framework.
· Fulfil all aspects of the apprenticeship.
Person Specification:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Currently hold a level 3 in childcare or similar.
- Ability to demonstrate creative abilities when planning activities and events.
- Enthusiasm for early years and childcare.
- Friendly and approachable personality.
- Holds a valid UK drivers licence.
