Interview will take place in Sheffield. You will need to live withing easy reach of this address If successful, you will be based throughout the UK with the potential to work away. Monday to Friday, depending on the location of works.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Laying/Installing roof covering
- Carrying materials from stock to work area (20kg)
- Loading & unloading deliveries
- Tool inspections
- Maintaining tools & equipment
- Training as part of apprenticeship
- Waste management in the work areas
- Working with handheld power tools
- Work area inspections prior to commencing works
- Site set up & close down procedures
- Yard/ site maintenance as and when required
- Working with a team & team leader
- Off-the-job training every 5 weeks as part of the apprenticeship

Juniper Training support in excess of 2000 students per year and work with over 800 employers. Rated as GOOD by Ofsted in all areas of provision, we are ideally placed to support students, adults and employers in bridging the skills gaps between education and employment.
You will attend every 5th week at our Building Futures site with a mixture of both classroom and workshop sessions. Working on the Smart Assessor platform to log all off-the-job training completed.
We have Rigs set up to work on and make the training both relevant upto date as interactive as we can. Working with peers from a variety of other roofing companies allows you to learn and share best practices from each other along with our qualified time-served Roofing skills coaches.

Other requirements
Driver with own transport preferred or applicant must live within easy commutable distance from the depot due to start times and pick ups when working away. Please be aware this is a very manual apprenticeship that involves working at Heights and being physically fit and agile. You will also be working outdoors in all types of weather
