We are now seeking a Head of End-Point Assessment Quality & Compliance to lead, evaluate, and continuously improve our internal quality assurance (IQA) processes for end-point assessments. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with Ofqual Conditions of Recognition & ESFA Rules, ensuring that our assessments meet the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver internal quality assurance processes to maintain TRCC’s assessment standards and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement an annual Standardisation Plan for end-point assessments.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Ofqual and ESFA regulations for the delivery and awarding of EPAs.
- Oversee quality assurance reporting, working closely with the Central Services Manager and Governing Board.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to TRCC’s end-point assessment team on best practices for assessment quality.
- Conduct sampling and moderation of end-point assessments to ensure consistency and fairness in grading decisions.
- Develop and lead standardisation meetings across all apprenticeship standards, ensuring assessors meet TRCC’s quality expectations.
- Observe and provide feedback to end-point assessors, supporting their continuous development and performance improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, trends, and regulations impacting assessment and quality assurance in apprenticeships.
- Support the continuous improvement of TRCC’s assessment and IQA processes, identifying opportunities for development.
What We’re Looking For: Essential Skills & Experience:
- Line management or supervisory experience within an awarding body or end-point assessment organisation.
- Experience in assessment and quality assurance of regulated qualifications and/or EPAs.
- Deep understanding of Ofqual’s Conditions of Recognition and ESFA regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and improve quality assurance processes and systems.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to provide reports, guidance, and feedback.
- Proficiency in assessor observation, sampling, and standardisation techniques.
Qualifications Required:
- EQA / IQA qualification (such as TAQA, D32/33/34/35, V1 or equivalent).
- Recent experience (within the last 2–3 years) in assessment and quality assurance.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current regulatory guidance and assessment best practices.
- Strong commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
