We’re now looking for aPension & Benefits Managerto design, implement and manage the company pension and benefits programmes for employees at the Guardian News & Media.
Reporting to the Director of Reward, Pension and HR Operations, you will collaborate with the wider People team, Finance, Payroll and external benefits providers to manage the operational delivery of the benefits programme as well as having responsibility for the ongoing development of the benefits offering.
About the Role
- You’ll provide operational management of the ‘Guardian Lifestyle Plan’, the company pension scheme, including managing the relationship with the pension provider, responsibility for pension communications, supporting employees with queries, and the organisation of quarterly pension trustee meetings.
- You’ll manage the annual benefits window for employees to ensure it runs smoothly and is clearly communicated to employees.
- You’ll manage the annual and bi-annual renewal processes for the Guardian’s benefits providers, including life cover, income protection, private healthcare, and dental care.
- You’ll monitor developments in the industry, and make recommendations to ensure the Guardian's benefits offering remains current, competitive and relevant for the workforce.
- You’ll develop communications to boost member engagement in pensions, benefits and financial wellbeing, particularly for new joiners and during our annual benefits selection window.
- You’ll collaborate with the wider People team on projects, ensuring a joined up approach and service are provided to our employees.
About You
- Experience managing defined contribution pension schemes, including the day to day administration, running of quarterly trustee meetings, broader governance requirements, and external reporting obligations including the ONS and the pensions regulator
- Experience of implementing and managing benefits packages, policies and processes.
- Experience of building strong cross-functional relationships and working with a diverse range of colleagues from across all functions.
- Experience of managing multiple priorities to meet conflicting timetables and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent Word and Excel skills, and familiarity with Google Suite.
