Engineering Trainer (PLC)
Location: Coventry
Job Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Engineering Trainer to deliver high quality training with a focus on electrical bias within our apprenticeship programs. You will ensure compliance with Awarding Body requirements and Apprenticeship Standard Duties/KSBs. Additionally, you will provide training on subjects within your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality engineering training using Siemens PLC equipment.
- Provide effective training at levels 2, 3, and HNC, developing independent learners.
- Create and develop learning content and apprenticeship trailblazer schemes of work.
- Ensure learner workplace health, safety, and welfare in collaboration with the DSL.
- Monitor learner progress and tailor support for timely apprenticeship completion.
- Continuously improve training delivery through innovative teaching methods.

- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong presentation skills and capable of engaging various audiences.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to promoting the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Industry-related qualifications (e.g., L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree).
- Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above).
Desirable:
- 18th Edition Certification.
- CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
- Recognized Training/Teaching Qualification.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
