Engineering Training Manager
Permanent, P/T or F/T
We are seeking a part time or full time Engineering Training Manager to join our friendly team.
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance on all matters relating to training across the three technical approvals within our Capability Development (Cap Dev) division.
The role is primarily based across both our Doncaster and Humberside bases covering Capability Development’s Part 21J, Part 21G and Part 145 approvals. It will involve creating and implementing the Training Policy, underpinned by the Engineering Training Manual to include the latest Part 21 and Part 145 regulatory requirements to support the departmental and individual needs within Cap Dev.
The role’s key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing and delivering an update at the Monthly Management Meetings
- Producing and delivering in-house training courses as required
- Monitoring each individual currency training requirement and informing Departmental Managers of the individuals training needs
- Planning with Departmental Heads, the delivery of training for the three technical approvals following a Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Carrying out research into new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and presenting research to the Departmental Managers
- Liaise and manage third-party training providers as identified by the Departmental training plans i.e. Type Training, Part 66 License Module or Apprenticeships
- Actively contribute to the safety management system and general promotion of aviation safety
The successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Experience of delivering aviation training and providing associated feedback to learners
- An emotionally intelligent, resilient, analytical, and motivated team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Awareness of relevant future authority requirements and regulations
- Timely feedback to appropriate post holders regarding the status of organisations with specific regard to compliance
- Knowledge of Part 21 and/or Part 145 regulations or a willingness to undertake training to become competent in these areas
