Salaries
£30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Upon receipt of an application / CV, an initial Teams / telephone call will be arranged to discuss expectations from both Access and the applicant in terms of the role and salaries. As a relatively small organisation, we are able to adapt a role and the salary that it attracts depending on the experience, qualifications and overall suitability of the right candidate to the role for which they're applying. We prefer not to dissuade or discourage potential applicants by having salary bands that may sit above or below their expectations.
Previous experience of working with apprenticeships would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Support the Curriculum Lead to plan and design curriculum to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that Apprentices need to successfully achieve end point assessment
- To design and deliver short courses to support our UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Programme
- Deliver high quality Teaching and Learning in accordance with the company’s Teaching and Learning Strategy
- Undertake Initial Assessment activities (including assessment of prior learning) in accordance with the quality procedure
- Assist learners in the preparation and development of a Learning Plan identifying areas of current competence and agreeing and recording targets for achievement
- Undertake Progress Reviews at least every 12 weeks in accordance with the quality procedure
- Develop professional working relationships with employers at operational and strategic levels ensuring they are aware of the full range of Access services and brands.
- Assist management and colleagues in undertaking an annual self-assessment of the company against the Educational Inspection Framework (EIF).
- To work with others to ensure that learners, staff and other customers are treated with respect and consideration and that they are free from any form of harassment or discrimination
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grades A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent
- Hold a recognised Teaching qualification
- Level 5 Management qualifications
- Experience in teaching management related subjects
- Experience in creating schemes of work, lesson plans and using a range of e-tools to provide an exciting teaching and learning environment
- Experience of supporting apprentices to achieve their KSBs and reaching Gateway through to successful EPA
- Experience of organising and conducting reviews to monitor and track progress with Apprentice and Employer
- Ability to develop good professional relationships with Apprentices, Employers, Awarding Bodies/End Point Assessment organisations and other training providers
- Excellent organisational skills and time-management skills
- A good team player
- A good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, e-tools and e-portfolio platforms
- A commitment to continued professional development
- Clean driving licence with own transport (mileage allowance will be paid)
Desirable Criteria
- Hold a recognised Assessor qualification, or working towards (D32/33, A1, TAQA)
- Educated to degree level
- Experience in business / professional role
- Experience in a commercial training role
- Experience in a project management role
- Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and PREVENT
