Music Facilitator / Teacher-Coach

We are looking for an experienced practitioner/teacher to offer fortnightly coaching to classroom teachers, empowering them to deliver whole-class Music to students across Primary (currently every other Tuesday 9:30 – 3:30 during term time).
Ark is a charity whose mission is to transform children’s lives through education. The Ark Music programme supports music-making across Ark schools, to make sure that every child has access to high quality music education, regardless of their background.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for and belief in the potential of every young person
- Be an excellent teacher and music educator
- Be an active musician
- Have experience in choir leading, whole-class teaching and (ideally) teacher-coaching
Other Roles
We are looking for exceptional music facilitators/teachers to join our pool of freelance practitioners for project-based work:
- Freelance artists: Projects are offered on an engagement-by-engagement basis with opportunities including leading student ensembles, supporting at events/residentials, performing as part of our ‘house band’ etc.
- Early Career Artists – Music Mentors: We also welcome applications from school-leavers, current university students/recent graduates; talented musicians who are interested in gaining paid experience in working in outreach/participation.
