We're seeking a dedicated Digital Learning Designer/Systems Trainer to join our team at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. This 18-month fixed-term position will involve assisting in the design and delivery of comprehensive training programs for the rollout of our new Careflow Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system.
As part of a collaborative team, your main role will be to assist other team members to create high-quality digital training materials and facilitate both blended and in-person training sessions for our staff. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least one office visit per week. Depending on your experience, you may also additionally be involved in delivering face-to-face training.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates eager to learn and develop their skills. Successful applicants will ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
Assisting in developing digital training materials and instructional guides for diverse audiences.
Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to design and create engaging learning experiences.
Using industry-standard software like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or Adobe Creative Cloud to support the development of eLearning, videos, and training guides.
Helping deliver virtual and in-person training sessions to staff of varying skill levels.
Assessing training effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
We are particularly looking for candidates who possess:
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience transforming subject matter expert materials into effective learning resources.
Some knowledge of graphic design and layout principles.
A background in healthcare training.
An understanding of systems and systems training.
Knowledge of EPR systems and healthcare workflows.
The role of Associate Digital Learning Designer/Systems Trainer is to create engaging and innovative digital learning solutions at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. The post-holder will design, develop and deliver a range of content (eLearning, videos, animations, immersive technologies etc) delivered across a variety of channels. They will support on the development of strategies and the adoption of technologies that leverage digital media to instruct and educate staff across the organisation. The post-holder will also support the design and implementation of the Education and Training Department’s LMS and intranet sites. The post-holder will also provide end-user support for digital learning.

Digital Learning Creation & Maintenance
Develop and create high quality digital and blended learning solutions for the ultimate end-user experience.
Work creatively and collaboratively with key stakeholders on the design, development and creation of engaging and innovative digital learning, providing technical advice on eLearning design solutions, development processes and content.
Work closely with Subject Mater Experts (SMEs) to understand learning needs, adapt material for digital delivery and create content that aligns with learning aims.
Design, build and deliver engaging learning experiences through a range of channels e.g. eLearning, videos, animations, micro games, simulations and apps.
Use Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere and other creation/editing tools.
Assist in the testing and Quality Assurance of digital learning courses and ensure high standards of accessibility.
Work collaboratively with other teams on new technology projects e.g. AR/VR/immersive technology.
Provide support on integrating and managing courses on the Trust Learning Management System
(Totara LMS).
Update and maintain current learning on LMS.
Support on the evaluation of digital learning effectiveness
Support on the maintenance of the Education and Training intranet/internet sites.
Supports digital learning working practices and policies, making recommendations on service development.
Ensure compliance with the Trust’s Policies by maintaining access control and monitoring systems and ensuring breaches are brought to the attention of the appropriate Manager.
To participate in business, team and departmental meetings to support service planning and new developments.
Ordering of digital content and artwork for digital learning projects.
Provide digital learning training and on-line support to the Trust.
Ensure Trust standards for eLearning is maintained across all eLearning platforms for suitability to meet the users’ needs, resolving issues concerning access to resources and eLearning
platforms.
Responsible for maintaining of digital learning resources on the Trust’s Learning Management System (LMS).
