About the role:
Provide support to the RAC team with resourcing for all programmes and maintain health and safety in the workshop area assisting the lecturers and assist with carrying out practical assessments within workshop sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- To set up and clear away all specialist materials for classes.
- Maintain specialist areas in a clean and tidy condition including sorting and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Carry out general maintenance checks on equipment in the rooms and identify and report repairs for external servicing, liaising with external contractors for maintenance where required.
- To control stock including the requisition of supplies when needed.
- To receive and document materials and maintain storerooms.
- Where neccessary to provide oversign in practial lessons where an enhanced risk of injury exists.
- To maintain the inventory and stocks of materials and learning resources, monitoring usage and ordering materials as required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements for Refrigerant Heandling, Flammable Gas handling and Electrical Testing procedures.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

- Self-starter / ability to act on own initiative.
- Knowledge of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning to minimum N.V.Q. LEVEL 2 or Time served equivalent experience and an appropriate Category 1 F-Gas qualification.
- Either have or be willing to work towards an assessor’s award to assist with college assessments.
