The Role
As the Director of Learning & Development, you’ll report directly to our HR Director and play a pivotal role in developing talent across the business. With responsibility for a significant budget and a dynamic team of specialists, you’ll design and implement innovative L&D strategies that align with our business goals. From leading leadership training programs to overseeing apprenticeship initiatives, you’ll be at the forefront of fostering professional growth and building future leaders at Stonegate.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead a large team of L&D professionals, driving excellence across all activities.
- Develop and execute group-wide leadership training strategies and career pathways.
- Manage our Apprenticeship Levy and core training budgets effectively.
- Introduce cutting-edge L&D programs to address evolving skill gaps.
- Oversee the annual talent review process and identify opportunities for leadership development.
- Collaborate with external partners to deliver accredited training programs.
- Present strategic initiatives at board meetings and act as a key advisor on talent development.
About You
You’re an experienced leader with a track record of delivering impactful L&D programs. You have the confidence to influence at the senior leadership level and the expertise to manage complex budgets.
Ideally, you bring:
- Significant leadership experience managing L&D professionals in a large-scale, field-based organisation.
- Proven success with high-profile training interventions like FranklinCovey or MBTI.
- Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to creating a culture of continuous learning.
