Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with apprenticeship end-point assessment standards as outlined in NOCN policies and procedures.
- Maintain fairness and consistency in assessment practices and decision-making among the assessor team.
- Enhance assessment practices and improve the uniformity of assessment outcomes.
- Require assessors to provide high-quality reports reflecting the apprentices' competencies and justifying assessment decisions.
- Foster a positive experience regarding the apprenticeships service for learners, employers, and training providers.
Core Duties:
- Organize internal quality assurance activities by sampling assessment practices according to our risk-based approach.
- Accurately process end-point assessment results and ensure clarity in assessment feedback.
- Offer constructive feedback, guidance, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities to assessors to enhance assessment quality.
- Assist in interpreting IfATE occupational standards and assessment strategies for consistent implementation.
- Report any potential issues with assessment tools to the End-Point Assessment Development Manager.
- Engage in performance management to ensure thorough oversight and support for assessors.
- Contribute to the evaluation of assessment and internal quality assurance policies and practices.
- Address any suspected malpractice concerns with the Lead Internal Quality Assurer.
- Support issue resolution with training providers and apprentices, enhancing stakeholder relationships.
- Implement processes for accurate management information reporting.
- Conduct End Point Assessments based on occupational expertise when required.
- Assist with any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Internal Quality Assurer or Head of Assessment and Quality Assurance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
- Educated to Level 4 or higher.
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
- Solid occupational knowledge in Construction.
- Possess an Internal Quality Assurance qualification.
- Have an Assessor Qualification.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to evaluate and enhance business processes proactively.
- Team-oriented mindset with a history of productive collaboration.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office applications.
