Develop and deliver high-quality computing lessons that engage and inspire students.
- Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students can achieve their potential.
- Incorporate the latest technologies and teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.
- Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress to help them achieve their academic milestones.
- Work collaboratively with support teams, including teaching assistants and special educational needs coordinators, to ensure every student receives the necessary support.
- Provide additional support and tutoring where needed to help students excel.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the computing curriculum to keep it current and relevant.
- Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in computing education and technology.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive and collaborative learning environment.
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding student progress, classroom activities, and curriculum updates.
Knowledge/Experience required:
- Proven experience in teaching computing.
- Experience in delivering lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Experience working with support teams to provide tailored support to students.
Qualifications:
- BTEC Level 3 or above in Computing.
- PGCE.
