We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers! This role consists of teaching A level Photography to students and introducing them to a wide range of photographic influences, approaches and technologies, including camera less photography techniques. You will also be required to undertake some teaching on the Art, Craft and Design A level. Here at Leeds Sixth Form College our fantastic facilities include: A darkroom A fully equipped Mac Suite Digital SLR’s Analogue film cameras Leeds Sixth Form College is a combined provision of A Levels and vocational courses which provides a diverse range of full-time education programmes for learners aged 16-18 and adult learners aged 19+. The provision ranges from Level 2 to Level 3 and includes both traditional academic and vocational pathways. What You Will Do This role involves designing and delivering innovative and engaging Photography classes to both 16-18 and adult learners of varying ability. You will introduce students to a wide range of photographic influences, approaches and technologies. You will teach in both digital and analogue methods supporting students in developing and mastering their own creative and technical skills. About You Hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) You will have darkroom practices experience in addition to camera-less photography techniques You will be able to deliver teaching in an engaging manner whilst building rapport with your students. English and Maths at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve in one or both disciplines to level 3 or above. Experience of delivering Photography A-level in an FE or school setting. You will have experience of setting targets for students and have strategies and the skills to help students achieve their potential.
