Our Military Academies have seen amazing growth over the last few months with the addition of MPCT taking us to a total of 34 academies across England and Wales. We want to continue this amazing growth by driving learner starts across all sites, helping us to expand further in the future and transforming even more lives. As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Centre Manager by driving learner starts and enrolling them on to their chosen programme. This is a busy role where you need to balance the need for commercial and administrative activity on a daily basis. You will need these important qualities: Ability to build rapport with a wide range of learners & employers Keen attention to detail Positive attitude. Ability to communicate at all levels. DUTIES Develop links with key external stakeholders, (e.g. employers, schools, local authorities, community centres and JCPs) and capitalise on the relationships to generate enrolments on to public services programme Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders (Centre Managers and external employers) to identify training and employment opportunities Carry out all stakeholder related recruitment activity including advertising on recruit an apprenticeship website, pre-screening, and interviewing Update the centralised vacancy database Liaise with stakeholders in relation to the enrolment process of learners Organise and manage the open days to generate potential interest in military careers Manage employer surveys on an adhoc and bi-annual basis where applicable Enrol new learners onto the correct program Advertise current vacancies, managing applications effectively on the CRM, pre-screening, interviewing, and attending careers events where require. Carry out student reviews in the centre conduct and documenting telephone reviews as and when required. Support communication to students and externals as directed including termly communications and follow up calls to prospective new students Interview applicants for their chosen programme completing eligibility checks and related ESFA documentation for the relevant funding channels Act as a point of contact for learners providing ongoing support and impartial IAG throughout the learner journey Provide additional support during the learners first 6 weeks, including half day sessions to ensure fulfilment of employer and learner expectations Support learners at programme exit and provide information, advice and guidance on progression and employment opportunities Accurately record actual number of starts and pipeline figures in academy weekly performance report Meet and report weekly to the call centre key personal and Centre Manager on outcomes of interviews and starts in week Report on monthly activities against set key performance indicators Drive performance against academy budget and targets Administration and Generic Ensure correct processing and filing of PLRs and eligibility documentation Liaise with the administration team to ensure they are provided with accurate information to inform the employer Apprenticeship documentation where applicable Inform the administration team’s process to generate EDRS numbers Update employers’ database and files to include H&S and ONAs Manage the process to gain dated signatures on enrolment paperwork and final EPA documentation and follow up on all documentation as required Carry out health and safety checks on an annual basis at all salons and liaise with the Administration team for recording the Health & Safety checks on PICs Provide adhoc and regular reports as and when required Manage the Employer Engagement CRM database and ensure regular updating of employer information Liaise with the Training Instructors for information to support the employer reviews and provide feedback to Tutors after the visit Act as first point of contact for all inbound / outbound calls General Administration duties including diary managed of the EE Manager, photocopying and taking ownership of posts Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role Conduct your role in line with the behaviour aligned with our company value Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times Comply and follow all processes within the Health and Safety Policy Comply and follow all processes within the IT Policy and, Data Protection and Information Security Policy Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company Ensure the maintenance of confidentially and professionalism at all time It is essential that you have a commitment to behave in a way that meets our company values and that places the learner and their wellbeing at the heart of what you do.
