We have the following opportunity for a Commercial & Product trainer to join the Mazda team to deliver Mazda’s Commercial training to the dealer network. Reporting into the Lead Commercial Trainer, we are looking for a candidate that will develop, guide, inspire and support delegates through effective, and engaging learning. The role requires an individual who can deliver a combination of classroom-based and remote learning sessions. As well as being capable of delivering live webinar training and pre-recorded video training content on new Mazda products coming to the UK market. You must have the ability to provide a high-quality service to delegates so that they can apply the knowledge effectively in their dealership. You will support learners to be competent and confident employees who understand how to progress in their careers. The role will be based out of Mazda’s head office in Dartford, Kent (2 days a week) with the other days working remotely from home. You will also be required to support training courses that are delivered out of the Mazda Academy facility in Stewartby, Bedfordshire. Main Duties & Responsibilities Deliver training and assessment as sequenced within the curriculum. Provide in-depth and relevant feedback to delegates about progress made from structured learning outcomes and objectives achieved. Deliver commercial training programmes across the automotive sector, supplying industry-relevant knowledge and support. Support the ongoing improvement of the curriculum, across the automotive disciplines. Adhere to and maintain organisational processes/documentation in regard to learner attendance, punctuality, testing, assignment, and assessment outcomes. Provide advice and guidance to delegates on the overall progress of knowledge and skills, behaviours, further learning, and career enhancement. Prepare and participate in routine performance management reviews, maintaining a culture of high-standard output. Prepare information about delegate progress for discussion with development coaches, employers, and learners. Adhere to the training schedule and plan resources. Manage the delegate’s conduct, including effective confidential record-keeping within the systems provided. Ensure technical knowledge is relevant and accurate. Understand and uphold Mazda’s core values. Value diversity and promote equality internally and externally. Understand and promote safeguarding. Contribute to wider Mazda’s events and activities to promote a positive culture and understand wider business needs. Any other duties that are considered appropriate as part of this role or to support Mazda and the delegates as required. Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Proven significant experience in a similar role. Computer literate (including Microsoft packages: Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Please note Mazda uses PC’s not Mac so you should be able to use this operating system). Ability to communicate well. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Very good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Adobe Connect is desirable. Other considerations You may occasionally need to deliver virtual classroom training from home. Therefore, you will need a fast and stable internet connection and a quiet and private space to facilitate this. This role may occasionally require UK wide travel and overnight stays. This role will require you to be able to utilise multiple systems, including a Learning Management System and expenses platform, so being technically literate and a quick learner is desirable.
