Job DescriptionWestminster Kingsway College are recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable Curriculum Manager of Arts to join their successful team.
About the role:
The Curriculum Manager will be responsible for managing the Supported Learning department. They will oversee a team who will deliver teaching and support for students with additional needs, ensuring that they are of high quality and meet the needs of students, employers, and the wider community.
The Curriculum Manager will work closely with the Head of School, who has overall responsibility for the department, to develop and implement a strategic vision for the courses. This will involve identifying areas for growth and development, exploring new opportunities for partnership working, and ensuring that the courses are up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
The Curriculum Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the courses are delivered to a high standard, with a focus on excellent support, teaching, learning, and assessment. They will monitor the performance of their team, providing feedback and support where necessary, and will work with the college's quality assurance team to ensure that the courses meet relevant quality standards and regulations.

The Curriculum Manager will also have a key role in developing relationships with employers, industry bodies, and other stakeholders, to ensure that the courses are relevant to current and future industry needs. They will work with the Marketing team to promote the courses to potential students, employers, and the wider community, and will be responsible for managing the department budget, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently.The Curriculum Manager will need to have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire their team. They will need to be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. They will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.Overall, this is a challenging and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students, employers, and the wider community, by ensuring that the courses offered are of high quality and relevant to current and future industry needs.
About you:
- Experience in a leadership or management role, ideally within a further education or training setting.
- A good understanding of the SEND and Supported Learning, with knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including students, staff, employers, and industry bodies.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- An understanding of quality assurance and regulatory requirements within the further education sector, and a commitment to ensuring that courses are delivered to a high standard.

It also offers bespoke training for employers and specialist programmes delivered in conjunction with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.Westminster Kingsway is an award-winning provider of hospitality and culinary arts courses.
