About the Role: As a Supported Learning Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in providing tailored teaching and learning development for students with learning disabilities. Your mission will be to ensure that every student, whether in a group or on an individual basis, has the opportunity to access and successfully complete their chosen programme of study. You will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where each student's unique needs are met with compassion, creativity, and expertise. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching sessions that cater to the individual learning needs of students with disabilities.Develop and implement innovative learning strategies and resources to engage and inspire students.Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.Work collaboratively with other lecturers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed to support achievement.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected. Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) or equivalent. Level 4 + in either Subject Specific Specialism or Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)L5 – L7. The college will accept a commitment to working towards the above. L3 or equivalent in specialist skills area L2/GCSE in English and mathsA strong commitment to inclusive education and a passion for helping all students succeed.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
