Cambridge Regional College has an exciting opportunity for a Hairdressing Lecturer to join our teaching team on a permanent part time basis working 18.5 hours a week (Monday/Tuesday, half day flexible). The successful applicant will plan and deliver high quality training and assessment on a variety of Hairdressing courses including Apprenticeships. An Advanced, Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing is essential, as is current relevant industry experience. You should also be used to working in a high-pressure environment where professional standards are exemplary. The role will be based at our Cambridge campus, and there may be a requirement for some evenings and Saturdays at times throughout the year. What we are looking for in our role: Appropriate Hairdressing qualifications to Level 3 or above or the relevant experience are essential.Current occupational competency and experience in Hairdressing practice is essential.Teaching Qualifications (not essential)An assessor and IQA qualification (not essential)Prior experience in a similar training role would be beneficial but not essential; comprehensive training would be available to the right candidate who can demonstrate commitment to the role Good communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail, organised, motivated and a team player.
