Job Title: Development Coach Salary: From £28,600 (depending on experience and qualifications) Hours: Full time 39.5 Hours per week An exciting opportunity has opened for a dynamic, hybrid role supporting learning across our diverse range of programmes. The successful coach will bring a passion for developing young people’s skills, knowledge, and behaviours to empower them in securing a career of their choice. Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills are essential for this role. Interact with both internal and external customers, so maintaining a high level of professionalism always is crucial. In this role you will work with a diverse group of young people across various learning programmes, offering support, coaching and mentoring throughout their educational learning journey to help them fully utilise progression opportunities and achieve their career goals and aspirations. The role would require you to work in a team environment but also independently. The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence, and access to a vehicle for business use essential. The Role The role of coach is to support young people, by collaboration with various teams to organise and facilitate induction and taster session, enabling a well-informed learning plan to be tailored for everyone. The coach will support the delivery teams with developing individuals and groups through engaging personal development sessions as well as offering coaching of Maths and English. A learner-centred approach is essential; the coach will lead job club and provide career guidance to help learner’s identify suitable career paths. The key responsibility will be reviewing learner progress and implementing strategies to address challenges. The coach will negotiate and adapt learning plans to ensure the best outcomes. Additionally, the role involves assessing learners in the classroom and making fair, objective assessment decisions based on set requirements. Personal Skills Excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with people at all levels Highly organised with exceptional time management skills Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Flexible and able to manage time effectively and meet business targets; may involve working outside standard hours or taking on additional duties for the needs of the business A teaching qualification (CET) is desirable but not essential, as support will be provided to work towards this qualification within the role.
