The Corporate Board is committed to widening participation in learning through the pro-active use of eLearning courses. This activity has been growing steadily over the last 10 years and there is now an opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative person to play an important role in the further development of this activity. Working closely with the Employability Manager you will play a key role in the smooth running of the face to face eLearning activity throughout the South Wales region. Key Responsibilities Participate, under the guidance of the Employability Manager in enrolling, coaching, advising and supporting employability learners.Offering them advice and guidance, registering them on the most appropriate course, explaining the learning environment and ensuring that all procedures and systems are maintained accurately and updated when necessary; Liaise with teaching staff, community partners and students to ensure that student registration is meticulously recorded, files updated and mailouts recorded; Provide practically focused instruction/workshops, using agreed learning and assessment materials which are prepared by Course Source; Organise and invigilate appropriate testing procedures for Course Sourse courses, if required; Maintain accurate records for recording delivery, tracking and communicating with learners and reporting regular and accurate figures. Ensure individual learner details are kept up-to-date and maintain records of learner progress; Contribute to business planning and marketing of eLearning, supporting the Employability Manager in actively promoting eLearning, in the college, DWP, and community to develop both face to face and distance learning opportunities; Ensure that appropriate evidence and systems are in place as required for inspection; Attend training events and regularly update knowledge via the Course Source partner’s portal and printed material to ensure administration processes are up-dated; Work with all other employability staff to create a welcoming, purposeful atmosphere that encourages open and flexible learning; Distribute instructional materials, help sheets and notices for employability students as appropriate Skills Knowledge and Expertise Essential Criteria: IT Qualification minimum to Level 2 Excellent Customer Care Skills Proven competence in a range of IT systems/packages Experience of working in partnership with external agencies inc DWP Good communicator with diplomacy and tact Good interpersonal and organisational skills Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Good presentational skills Ability to display confidence and establish positive relationships Desirable Criteria: Level 4, HNC/D or Degree Job Type: Fixed term contract Pay: £27,186.00-£29,500.00 per year Benefits: Canteen Company pension Cycle to work scheme Free parking On-site gym On-site parking Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Application deadline: 05/11/2024
