The main responsibilities of the role will be to teach Functional Skills maths to apprentices and GCSE maths to 16-19 full-time students and adult learners. The successful candidate will also be required to develop programmes of study to meet the needs of our learners, to assess students in accordance with the requirements of the programme and to contribute to systems of quality and advice and assist in the effective organisation of the department by the proper establishment of such syllabuses, schemes of learning and records as may be necessary from time to time.
The qualifications deemed essential for the post are:
. - A relevant up to date qualification in maths at Level 3 or above or a related subject.
- A level 5 teaching qualification
. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is also essential for the post.
