L&D and Talent Specialist Location: Peterborough/Hybrid Target Salary: £51,500 1 day per week in the office STC We have a fantastic opportunity for an L&D and Talent Specialist to join our People Team at CITB. The purpose of this role is to develop leadership skills to support CITB’s vision and strategy. This includes creating and implementing Learning & Development strategies aligned with the People Strategy to enhance the colleague lifecycle. The role will closely collaborate with the People Team and the L&D and Talent Adviser, supporting the Learning, Development & Talent Lead. As a Learning & Development Specialist, this role fosters continuous improvement and skill enhancement within the organisation. It aligns workforce skills with strategic goals, ensuring colleagues are equipped to perform effectively and grow within the company. Key Responsibilities are: Collaborate with senior leaders to define Learning and Development offer aligned with company goals. Create and execute comprehensive learning programs, including Leadership and Management and apprenticeship qualifications, to address skill gaps and promote professional development. Oversee, design and facilitate Leadership and management programs and key workshops. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Leadership programs, using data driven- driven insights to make improvements. Develop and implement mentorship and coaching programmes to support employee growth and knowledge transfer. Ensure training materials are up to date and relevant, incorporating the latest industry trends and best practices. Co-ordinate with external business partners and training provider to deliver specialise training as needed. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for L&D programme. Establish KPI and metrics to measure impact of L&D initiatives Prepare regular reports and presentation for senior leadership, highlighting the process and outcome of L&D activities Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiative to enhance the effectiveness of L&D. Any other reasonable duties as required. Knowledge & Experience: Essential Associate member of CIPD (L&D Level 5 qualification) with proven experience of operating at L&D business partner level Strong facilitation skills Strong coaching and mentoring skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insight Proficiency in using L&D software and e-learning platforms Tactical thicker with the ability to align L&D initiative with the business goals Proven experience of designing and delivering engaging learning initiatives within a changing environment Desirable Strong project management and organisational skills Special Conditions/Other Requirements: Full driving Licence Some anti-social hours required, usually travel related. UK wide travel, not expected to be frequent
