Based in the Tees Valley, Bede Sixth Form College continues to go from strength to strength, our pass rate is 99%. In our last Ofsted inspection, May 2022, we received Outstanding grades in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and Management and Education Programmes for Young People. We are an innovative and destination driven Sixth Form offering a wide range of both A level and vocational provision to the community.
We are part Education Training Collective (Etc.), which is of a group of colleges in the Tees Valley; Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training and The Skills Academy. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Resource Assistant to join our team reporting to our VLE and Learning Resources Lead. This role, primarily based at our Bede Sixth Form campus, is an integral part of our hardworking and friendly IT and Learning Resources Team.
As a Learning Resources Assistant with Bede Sixth Form College, you will be responsible for maintaining the learning resource centre environment, managing the Heritage library system and handling various library related tasks including promoting the service to staff and students. Additionally, you will provide both library and basic IT support while assisting individuals and groups in utilising the learning resources available throughout the college.
The ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic and reliable with excellent communication and digital skills and work to high levels of accuracy.
Previous experience of working in a library environment would be advantageous but not essential. We can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work and develop within a supportive and motivated team committed to continuous improvement.
