You will be a passionate, creative and empathetic towards our learners and be able to offer knowledge and guidance to ensure they progress in their studies with Milton Keynes College.<br/><br/></strong>MK College Group are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant who has a holistic approach to highlighting learning needs and disabilities. You will be part of the Education Team based on site at HMP Lewes. Training can be provided for the right candidate.<br/><br/>As a successful Learning Support Assistant, you will provide inspirational and creative learning support to small groups of learners and on a 1:1 basis. Your focus will be on Maths and English and improving learner skills, leading to employability outcomes, with effective target setting to meet individual needs. The ability to build good working relationships with learners is a key aspect of the role to help them overcome negative experiences that may be a barrier to reaching their potential and communicating these needs to the relevant teachers with support plans.<br/><br/>As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working across the whole prison, on all wings where education is delivered. This is a varied and interesting role with the opportunity to see learners develop and achieve.<br/><br/><strong>MK College will treat all applicants fairly and with respect, irrespective of their background, disability or any other individual characteristic.
