Learning Support Assistant
25 hours per week (term time only) - permanent position to commence August 2024
Grade: Fixed point 13 (£23,305.03 pro rata)
Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant who will be responsible for providing individual and group support for students and keeping accurate records of support delivered working at South West Durham Training.

The successful candidate will be required to hold a CACHE L3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent Level 3 qualification in supporting in the classroom (or to work towards within 1 year), Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), GCSE English grade 4 or above / Level 2 in Literacy, GCSE Maths grade 4 or above / Level 2 in Numeracy.
It is desirable that the candidate also holds a Level 2 Equality & Diversity, Level 3 Adult Subject Support, a relevant vocational qualification, Teaching qualification eg PTLLS, and an IT qualification
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
