Contract term: Permanent Job role: Learning support assistant Hours: 18-24 Salary: Starting at 12-240 Bethany training are looking for a learning assistant to help deliver the employability award which helps young people aged between 16-19 to prepare them for the working world. The ideal candidate will help improve literacy and numeracy skills as well as life skills to improve their chances of getting a job and work placements. Requirements: - A friendly and reliable approach - Building rapport between yourself and pupils at Bethany training - A commitment to understanding and catering to the needs of all pupils that they work with - Be a passionate practitioner with a strong desire to improve the education outcomes for all pupils - A good standard of Literacy, Numeracy and communication skills – You must be at least level two in numeracy and literacy when assessed using WEST. - A good level of ICT competency - Be able to create lesson plans and resources - Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) - A current DBS certificate (registered with the update service) or be willing to undertake a check-paid by company - Ability to speak to Welsh (desirable) Responsibilities: - Following the scheme of work to ensure learners have work set. - Marking work and giving constructive feedback. - Supporting pupils within the classroom - Using smart assessor to keep learners portfolio up to date - Working with small groups If you have the relevant skills and experience and are keen to find out more, then please click the apply button.
