This is an opportunity to join a team of dedicated Learner Support Practitioners, who are committed to working inclusively, using a variety of methods to meet learners' personal needs across a range of difficulties and disabilities and to help them work towards becoming confident and independent individuals. As a Learner Support Practitioner, you will be joining our dynamic team assisting in the care and educational support of learners with a range of difficulties and disabilities. Duties include providing in class support to learners by communicating with them on their level, breaking down tasks and explaining lesson content as needed. Note taking and scribing may be required, as well as reading and in some cases personal care of the learner. Support for lunch, break and beginning and end of day may also be required. At times, you may be required to travel and support offsite as well as support in practical lessons such as animal care and carpentry. GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential for this post as is the ability to evidence proficiency in the use of ICT.
