Lecturer / Access to Higher Education (Level 3 Land-Based Diploma). Fixed Term (Maternity cover). Up to £36,507 (depending on qualifications and experience)Working Pattern: Part TimeUniversity Centre Sparsholt is looking for a lecturer to join the Access to HE teaching team, within our higher education department, to cover a period of maternity leave. Our Access to HE course offers mature learners an opportunity to gain the relevant qualifications to study a land-based degree at higher education level. The successful candidate will teach a range of Level 3 units across land-based business, research and other optional pathways including animal, equine and ecology. This academic role will involve delivering both taught and practical classes, whilst supporting and tutoring our students academically and pastorally. All staff will engage in CPD and scholarly activity and there are opportunities for personal development. We would like to hear from candidates who hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. The post holder should also possess an appropriate teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards this. Experience of working in an academic environment would be highly desirable. This would be a part time role, with hours to be discussed at interview. This post will be based at the Sparsholt Campus.
