Free car parking across all campus sites About the role: To deliver English qualifications to SEN and high need learners alongside their vocational studies at our Highbury campus. In addition, the role may also include delivering to 19+ adult learners who wish to improve their English skills and gain recognised qualifications. Students will study across a range of courses which include; Functional Skills Entry, Level 1 to Level 2 as well as GCSE. Key Responsibilities: To teach on a range of programmes, providing high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives. To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement and success. To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include: Actively cntributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area Prducing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area Experience of teaching/ training and assessing students with learning difficulties and disabilities at Entry Level Teaching Qualification in a relevant subject (QTS/QTLS) Ability to meet targets within set timescales Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision Diversity and Inclusion: Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are central to the work of City of Portsmouth College.
