Job Summary Exceeding expectations through education, innovation and inspiration… Role Title: Lecturer in Hairdressing Location: Yale Contract Type: Hourly Paid, Fixed Term (End of June 2025) Salary: £21.16 - £32.71 Hourly, paid based on an annual salary of £30,620 - £47,3321. Salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.Upper pay range points UP1 are subject to evidence of previous progression to the Upper Pay Spine We currently have a vacancy for a lecturer in Hairdressing at our Yale campus. This is on hourly paid basis until 27th June 2025. The successful candidate will perform scheduled teaching to our level 2 & 3 learners, including preparation of learning materials, and marking of students’ work. They will also provide educational guidance and support for all students and act as a personal tutor when required. Essential Requirements A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment Be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques Able to demonstrate a commitment to and awareness of the importance of Safeguarding Able to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
