Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Lecturer in Brickwork to join our modern Construction Department. This role is ideal for a passionate and motivated individual with at least five years of industry experience in brickwork. You will play a vital part in shaping the next generation of construction professionals, helping students develop practical skills in brick and blockwork construction to the highest standards. Responsibilities: • Teaching and Instruction: Provide engaging, hands-on brickwork lessons to students, guiding them through practical demonstrations and exercises. • Curriculum Support: Help students plan and construct brick and block structures safely to an awarding body standard. • Assessment: Deliver assessments and provide feedback to students on their progress. • Student Engagement: Use effective questioning techniques to support learning and ensure students are actively engaged in lessons. • Administration: Manage attendance records and reporting using Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate Requirements: • Experience: At least five years of industry experience in brickwork. • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or higher in Brickwork. • Skills: Good written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Other: A valid DBS check, and a proven ability to engage and inspire students.
