Oaklands College is seeking an experienced Senior Apprenticeship Trainer & Skills Coach to join our Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the professional growth of apprentices, helping them build the skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to excel in their careers.Required Skills: Level 2 qualifications in English & maths (GCSE, Functional Skills or equivalent). (E) Assessor (E) and IQA qualifications (D) Level 3 teaching qualification (E) Planning and Organisational Skills (E)Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality training and coaching in Business Admin, Team Leading, and Level 5 Management through various methods, including face-to-face and online. • Provide tailored learning and engaging workshops to meet apprentices’ individual needs and prepare them for end-point assessments. • Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers, setting targets and ensuring timely completion. • Collaborate with employers to create a supportive learning environment, enhance workplace training, and maintain strong relationships. • Ensure quality assurance and compliance with college and regulatory standards, including participation in audits and inspections.Ideal Candidate: • Holds at least a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification. • Proven experience in training and coaching within an apprenticeship or educational setting. • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, assessment requirements, and end-point assessments. • Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Relevant teaching or assessor qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, A1 Assessor Award, TAQA) and experience with e-portfolio systems are desirable.
