The School of Construction, Building Services and Automotive offer vocational courses from Level 1 - Level 3 across specialist subjects in Construction and Motor Vehicle. Based at our Stephenson Road campus (Basildon College), we are hiring for a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to deliver our Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) qualifications up to Level 3, teaching both full time students and apprentices. You will be an industry expert with a strong background in Motor Vehicle, with experience gained within a workshop OR as an experienced Lecturer. <br/><br/> We encourage applications from those working in industry, looking to get into teaching. With state-of-the-art facilities, you will deliver first class teaching on related topics in Motor Vehicle. Working within an established and evolving team you will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in FE. As a minimum, candidates will ideally possess the following: Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair; GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths Level 5 Teacher's Qualification, or commitment to work towards Up-to-date industry experience in Motor Vehicle Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment Under the Health & Safety etc. <br/><br/> at Work Act 1974 it is the responsibility of individual employees at every level to take care of their own health and safety at work and that of others who may be affected by their acts at work.
