Our objective is to enhance the psychological wellbeing of children within the care system through our Restorative Parenting recovery programme. Working with the L&D team, the Level 3 assessor will assess the leaner’s portfolio on Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification and set learner action plans and targets. The assessor will manage a caseload of learners and conduct face to face observations, gather expert witness testimonies and learners written evidence to ensure learners achieve their level 3 qualification. The main responsibilities for the role will include: To support learners working towards qualifications in Residential Childcare Level 3 To managing your time effectively and ensure timely reviews are conducted with the learners. To organise and maintain online documentation on learners' progress To support, advise and motivate learners and meet needs To overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners needs To attend assessor standardisation meetings and review paperwork, use this to assess learners portfolios to ensure consistency To support Learning and Development Business Partner to implement an accurate LMS system that supports learners To assess students’ coursework by setting, marking, moderating, adhering to awarding body specifications To attend and complete any training provided or arranged by Halliwell in relation to the role To comply with Halliwell's Quality Assurance, guiding and supporting colleagues to ensure quality and consistency of training To adhere to guidance issued by Awarding Bodies and Halliwell regarding learner competence, training requirements and the completion of associated documentation Carry out administrative tasks related to the department, completing all paperwork required meeting audit requirements To comply with Halliwell policies and procedures To assist with any other ad hoc duties as directed by management To assist with any other ad hoc duties commensurate to the job role and pay scale, as directed by management. The successful candidate will have the following requirements: Must hold valid Right to Work in the UK. Must hold Assessor Award, CAVA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent or a teaching qualification Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a childcare residential setting Must have a proficient level of ICT skills and understanding of e-portfolios Possess excellent communication skills with learners and team Expertise and experience in working with children in residential care Excellent oral and written communication skills The ability to organise your own workload The capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team The ability to undertake a range of administrative responsibilities A flexible approach to work Good general IT skills What we can offer you: Becoming part of the Employee Ownership Trust with Halliwell Homes.
