This is an exciting opportunity to join Operations (UK and International), in a varied and empowering role. The Operations Capacity Manager is a key role to drive and implement successful resourcing plan within the Education Operations (both UK Education and International Product Groups).
Working closely with Operational Planning managers and the Data and Performance team, the postholder has responsibility for determining the capacity required to deliver the end-to-end exam cycles for UK and International Operations teams.

About The Role
This role enables effective and efficient resource capacity planning that supports delivery teams. Working alongside Operational Planning and Assurance colleagues is a key capability as part of the team's delivery to schedule, plan, and measure.
Operations teams are dependent on the outputs to ensure the correct capacity to deliver assessments for UK and International customers each year. It will drive the footprint in global locations as capabilities and processes are challenged and improved.
The role will analyse business information, data and schedules to prepare plans and forecasts. The holder will develop and maintain capacity planning models to predict Operations resource needs accurately against capabilities and processes.
Key accountabilities:
- Deliver workforce planning for Operations using forecasting, resource analysis, and capacity planning.
- Working with the Operations managers and across UK and International qualification delivery to coordinate appropriate use of our global offices to ensure Operations' capacity and resources are at the right levels to operate efficiently.
- Oversee, with Operations managers, the effective deployment of resources, recruitment, process delivery in all Cambridge University Press & Assessment sites, deployment of external temporary staff to effectively manage seasonal peaks.

About You
You will have knowledge and experience of resource capacity planning, for example in a project management or business/technology delivery context. Experience in and successful delivery of resource capacity planning for complex processes.

Other key requirements include:
- General knowledge of resource capacity planning, for example in a project management or business/technology delivery context
- Knowledge of assessment delivery processes such learner order processing, mark exception processing, and examiner recruitment.
- Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Planning & project management
- Leadership/team management experience or the ability to demonstrate the skills required
- Experience of working to tight, challenging deadlines
- Confident decision-making, prioritisation and time-management skills
- Excellent business and interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal; including e-mail, letter, face to face and telephone), with an eye for accuracy
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Bi, Powerpoint).
